Claudia Linders [NL] is principal of Atelier Claudia Linders, a studio for interdisciplinary research and design based in Amsterdam. She received her Master’s degree in Architecture from the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Planning.
Claudia Linders is involved in vision and concept development, crossing the boundaries of the architectural domain and the fringes of design, and particularly art in public space.
Recent partners and clients include Droog, NEXT architects Amsterdam, Museum de Paviljoens, Ymere, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Diller Scofidio + Renfro New York, Art Centre HEDEN The Hague, Roosje Klap and the Dutch Ministry of Finance. Award winning projects are the 2 euro coin 200 years Kingdom of the Netherlands and Hestia Daycare center Amsterdam.
Claudia Linders is director of the international Fontys Academy of Architecture & Urbanism (MA+U) Tilburg. Linders is involved with art-education at several international institutes; she was head of the department of Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. For the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) she curated several transdisciplinary exhibitions such as BACKSTAGE ON STAGE -Salone Milano 2014- and LIVE FACTORY MAKE MY DAY -Salone Milano 2013-. She has curated and coordinated the interdisciplinary design studies at the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture and was teaching and lecturing at the Strelka Institute of Media, Architecture and Design, Moscow.
Claudia Linders is a member of various committees and advisory boards. She is chairman of the advisory board of Art-center HEDEN Den Haag, advisor Art in Public Space at the Amenities Committee for Spatial Quality Amsterdam (Commissie voor Ruimtelijke Kwaliteit). She is a former member of the Committee for Ateliers en (Woon)Werkpanden –CAWA- Amsterdam, of the Eindhoven Art Council and the board of the Erasmus Pavilion Rotterdam.
